The mic's auto-configuring 3.5mm TRRS output allows you to use the included TRS to TRRS cable whether you shoot with a smartphone, tablet, DSLR, or camcorder. And forget about stocking spare batteries; the CVM VM20 can run off its internal rechargeable battery or a USB power source.

Thanks to the stepless gain dial, the CVM VM20 offers convenient optimization of your recording level at the mic, so you don't have to crank up the gain (and subsequent noise) on your recording device. If you encounter bass buildup from rumble, engage the onboard low-cut filter to 75 or 150 Hz according to the situation. The included shockmount reduces camera handling noise, further contributing to clean, intelligible recordings.
